i think this blog would be considered static and self published
How would your audience react to this type of resource? Would they find this to be a reliable source? Why or why not? If not, what information do you need to provide to persuade them? For example could you emphasize the credentials of the author or perhaps the time lines of the information?
I think my different audiences will react differently. I think younger more liberal thinkers will agree with what is discussed in this high school seniors blog, while more conservative judgemental adults may think it's just a teen girls opinion. Those who agree with think it is reliable others can't deny her opinion. I think more opinions need to be added to show that its more than one persons thoughts. It is very significant since it is recent and one of my key audiences.
What types of information would your audience need to know about this resource? Is that information already included in the full bibliographic citation? What information do you need to provide for them to locate that exact resource you looked at or worked with?
my audience will need to know who the author is. Maybe where she is from. That info is included in the bib. I could include the link for the girls blog so they could check it out for themselves.
How critical is this resource to your research? Does your rhetorical situation demand that you incorporate this resource into your project?
I think this resource is so very critical to my research. The rhetorical situation does demand that i incorporate this resource, like i said before, she is the perfect age and situation for a valid opinion.

I think you covered everything. The only thing I could add would be the authors credentials.
ReplyDeleteThis part of the assignment I thought was pretty easy. I guess we all know who we are talking to in our papers. Our audience is anyone that cares to listen really. Only because this is a small English class. I would be screwed if I had to write for a paper or something.
