1. The writing topic i chose is perfectly appropriate for the writing situation. The topic will fulfill the requirements of the assignment for the class. Exploring this topic will satisfy the weath of knowledge i desire to gain by researching the topic further.
2. I'm very interested in the topic of teen abstinence. I will be able to sustain my interest long enough to complete the assignment and research. The specific aspect of my topic that intrests me the most would be the education part of it, teaching safe-sex/absinance in schools which might be a good place for me to focus.
3. The writing task is very doable. The topic is gettng narrowed with each of these activites that i work on. There is plethera of information availale on the topic , but i think it will be just enough to complete the assignment successfully.

Marissa, Sounds like an interesting topic. The lack of sexual abstinence in our teens is rampant. I'll be interested to see how you approach the topic. Peer pressures, social networks, the lack of parental guidance are all subtopics, I think. :)

ReplyDeleteInteresting topic, i'd like to see where you take this. From what I've learned in multiple sex classes at MCC abstinence programs are actually quite terrible for our children as it causes a higher rate of STDs and pre-teen pregnancy due to ignorance. So if you are going to the campus at all I'd advise talking to a sex something-or-other...can't remember the class name, but yeah. The sex teachers know a lot on the subject ;).
