PURPOSE: What do you want your readers to do after reading your paper? What types or resources will help you achieve that purpose and motivate your audience to action?
*Primary: I want my readers to want to be the change they wish to see (which i hope is a sexually healthy and educated future). Primary resources would be most effective in order to give the reader a true glimpse into what is really going on, and how ignorant most people are to the topic. Blogs and interviews will be most valuable for this portion.
*Secondary: Its always good to have statistics of school age people sexual health and pregnancy rates, which are available online.
AUDIENCE: What types of resources/data does your audience value - numbers and statistics? anecdotes and stories? case studies and ethnographies? expert testimonies? What will be most convincing?
*Primary: Like stated above, anecdotes and stories are necessary and will be most effective.
*Secondary: Statistics are great as well, just to give the overwhelming sense of whats going on, to put things in perspective for the reader on a larger scale.
TOPIC/QUESTION: What type of information do you need to answer your question thoroughly/.
*Primary: Facts from people who are currently dealing with sexual health issues as a young person who has/has not received sex education. What went right/wrong in their sec education to get them where they are now.
*Secondary: Statistics as evidence that a good sex education will lead to healthier/smarter sex choices.
AUTHOR: What time frame do you have for completing this project? What types of resources do you have access to? Who can help you locate and gather information? What are who do you have access to for gathering information?
If I'm not mistaken, I have a few weeks to collect this info. I'm sure i can locate and gather all the info on my own, if by some weird chance I can't, or am having issues, I'll ask my peers or teacher. I have access to books, people (friend with and STD, cousin found out she prego last night @ age 17, sex-ed teachers) and the Internet.
